            Catholic Cemeteries of Columbus is a dedicated Catholic cemetery committed to providing a sacred and respectful final resting place for the faithful. Under the supervision of the Director and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue targets while maintaining the highest standards of service and adherence to Catholic values. This role involves strategic planning, customer relationship management, and ensuring that all sales activities align with the mission and values of the Cemetery. The position is expected to use personal judgment in carrying out routine duties and responsibilities.

II.        ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support of the Church and the Diocese’s spiritual and pastoral mission.
  2. Set an example for employees by personal adherence to and compliance with personnel policies and procedures and by personal adherence to Catholic Doctrine and Catholic principles of morality.
  3. Sales Leadership: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue goals. Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to maximize their performance and professional growth.
  4. Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to families and clients, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and respect. Assist in the planning and selection of burial options, memorials, and related services.
  5. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand local trends, competition, and opportunities. Use this information to refine sales strategies and enhance service offerings.
  6. Training and Development: Train and mentor new and existing sales team members on products, services, and customer interaction techniques. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  7. Sales Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales performance data. Prepare regular reports on sales metrics, market trends, and team performance for senior management.
  8. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all sales practices comply with relevant regulations, cemetery policies, and Catholic teachings. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  9. Community Outreach: Represent the cemetery at community events, church functions, and other outreach opportunities to build relationships and promote the cemetery’s services.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
  11. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for this job.  

 

 

III.       POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales management experience, preferably in the cemetery or funeral industry. Experience in a Catholic or religious setting is a plus.
  2. Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Fluent in Spanish, ideal but not required.
  3. Values: Deep understanding and respect for Catholic teachings and traditions. Commitment to providing compassionate and respectful service.
  4. Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends. Compliance with BCI&I background checks and completion of Protecting God's Children program.
